“I did a lot of things to stay in the game, but regular visits to my chiropractor were among the most important.” – Jerry Rice, Pro Football Hall of Famer and official spokesman for the not-for-profit Foundation for Chiropractic Progress
Chiropractic has been used for many years in professional and amateur athletic settings. Professional athletes such as tennis stars Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick, along with football players LaDainian Tomlinson and Emmitt Smith, and the San Francisco 49ers team use chiropractic regularly to maintain top biomechanical form. Chiropractors serve on the Olympics Medical Team, at events such as AIDS Rides/Walks, and on high school medical teams.
By understanding sports technique, anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise physiology, the doctors at Chan Chiropractic are able to advise and treat athletes for quick return to play, prevention of injury, and improvement of performance.
We use a variety of treatment tools including chiropractic adjustments, sports/deep tissue massage, myofascial release, physiotherapy, rehabilitative exercises, and exercise training. We often work with local orthopedists, neurologists, athletic trainers, and physical therapists for your care.
Dr. Casey Chan has been treating youth and adult athletes on and off the field.
