The “First Annual Hmong Basketball Tournament” was held on the campus of Southern California University of Health Sciences in September 2004. SCUHS alumnus Dr. Ger Yang organized a basketball tournament to bring Hmong youth of California together and encourage them to pursue higher education. Doctors Ikuko Abe, Jackson Ng, Tarek Adra, and Casey Chan met and spoke with the Hmong youth about chiropractic. They also assisted with scoring the tournament games.
